Family-friendly truth or dare generator

Choose truth, dare, or a mixed draw for parties, classrooms, and family game nights. Prompts avoid humiliation, dangerous stunts, sexual content, secrets, and forced personal disclosure.

Tool controls

Prompt type

Prompts do not repeat until you reset. 300 prompts remaining.

Set the options, then generate a result.

How it works

  1. Choose truth, dare, or mixed mode and an optional category.
  2. Draw one eligible prompt; completed prompt IDs stay out of the pool.
  3. Review the on-screen history or reset when everyone agrees to restart.

Worked example

A kindness dare might ask you to give a specific, sincere compliment. It does not require contact, posting, spending money, or revealing private information.

Limits and checks

  • The built-in set contains 300 original prompts: 150 truths and 150 dares.
  • Players should skip any prompt that feels uncomfortable, inaccessible, unsafe, or inappropriate for the setting.
  • No score, consent, age suitability, supervision, or real-world completion is verified by the tool.

Privacy

Your entries and results stay in this browser tab. This tool does not put them in the URL, browser storage, analytics events, or a server request. Regular site analytics may still load without receiving these values.

Frequently asked questions

Are the prompts safe for children?
They are written to be family friendly, but an adult should still judge the group, ages, accessibility, culture, and setting. Skipping is always allowed.
Can the same prompt appear twice?
Not within the selected eligible pool before reset. Changing filters may expose unused prompts from another category or type.
Do my entries leave this device?
No tool value is sent, stored, logged, or placed in the URL. Closing or refreshing the tab clears the current work. Regular site analytics may still load without receiving the values.
What makes the selection random?
The tool uses the browser's Web Crypto getRandomValues source and unbiased integer selection. Filters and constraints change the eligible set, not the chance among remaining valid choices.
