How it works
- Load the tool's reviewed state set and retain every entry as a stable position.
- Select positions with Web Crypto, using a partial shuffle when unique output is enabled.
- Keep draw order unless the explicit alphabetical-sort option is selected.
Worked example
A unique five-state draw can return Maine, Arizona, Iowa, Oregon, and Georgia.
Limits and interpretation
- The list contains the fifty states only; districts, territories, and freely associated states are outside this tool's scope.
- Unique output cannot exceed the 50 included entries.
- The bundled list is a practical educational set and is not a live external database.
Privacy
Your inputs and generated results stay in this browser. This tool does not put them in a URL, analytics event, server log, or external request.
