Plan a multi-wheel classroom or event sequence
Keep up to four named wheels in one private browser workspace. Each wheel retains its own roster, weights, colors, mode, history, and scoreboard, so a lesson or event can move between activities without rebuilding lists.
Separate each stage
Use one wheel for speakers, another for topics, another for teams, and a fourth for follow-up tasks. Renaming and duplicating a wheel makes the sequence visible before anyone spins.
Run one or run all
Spin the active wheel when the steps depend on each other. Spin all ready wheels when each list is independent; the combined result names every source wheel and explains any skipped wheel.
Choose rules wheel by wheel
Normal mode keeps the list, elimination removes selected entries, and scoreboard mode counts selections. Weights change first-draw probability and should reflect a rule agreed before the spin.
Save and recover locally
The complete versioned workspace saves in localStorage. Export JSON before clearing browser data or moving devices; malformed, unsupported, or oversized imports are rejected before the current workspace changes.
Share with informed consent
A share link puts wheel names, entries, and settings in the URL fragment after #. The site does not upload that fragment, but anyone who receives the link can read it; scores and result history are excluded.
Know the boundaries
Local and imported workspaces allow four wheels with 1,000 entries each. Workspace JSON is limited to 3,100,000 characters, imported files to 9.3 MB, and saved templates share 250,000 local characters. Shared links allow 200 entries per wheel and a 30,000-character fragment. Results are browser-generated records, not independent certification.
- Can every wheel use different settings?
- Yes. Entries, enabled state, weights, colors, mode, winner count, duration, theme, sound, history, and scores belong to that wheel.
- What happens when one wheel is not ready?
- Spin all continues with ready wheels and shows the ineligible wheel as skipped instead of silently omitting it.
- Does sharing upload a student roster?
- No. Data stays after # in the link and is not sent by this site, but recipients can read it, so use anonymous labels for sensitive groups.
- How do I move a full workspace?
- Export the workspace JSON, keep it as your own backup, and import it in the other browser. Validation completes before replacement.
