How it works

  1. Keep every nonempty row as a distinct participant position.
  2. Securely shuffle all positions for each round, retrying a bounded number of times for the first-position rule.
  3. Display every round and flag when the optional constraint cannot be satisfied.

Worked example

Six names over three rounds produce three complete orders, each containing all six input rows exactly once.

Limits and interpretation

  • At most 1,000 participants, 50 rounds, and 10,000 displayed order rows are accepted; large participant/round combinations must fit the row budget.
  • Duplicate names remain separate rows and can appear adjacent.
  • The first-position rule is a soft bounded constraint, not a scheduling guarantee.

Privacy

Your inputs and generated results stay in this browser. This tool does not put them in a URL, analytics event, server log, or external request.
